Your hosting is not collateral
Contracts are billed separately from your services. Cancelling a contract does not touch the hosting your business runs on.
The fee is a line item, not a footnote
10% of the contract, and nothing else
There is no subscription and no listing fee. Green Commerce takes a 10% platform fee on each contract; the rest goes to the payee through Stripe. Payees must be able to onboard to Stripe Connect Express, which today means the US, UK, EEA, Canada or Switzerland.
How a contract runs
Agree the work
One user hires another. The contract records what is being done and what it pays.
Payee onboards to Stripe
The person getting paid completes Stripe Connect Express onboarding once. We never see their bank details.
Pay in-app
Payment runs through Stripe. The platform fee comes off the top and the balance goes to the payee.
Who can get paid?
Anyone who can complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding. Today Stripe supports that for the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland — if you are outside those, you can hire but you cannot yet be paid here.
What is the fee?
10% of the contract value, taken by the platform. There is no monthly charge and no fee to list.
Does a contract affect my hosting?
No, deliberately. Contract billing is separate from service billing, so a cancelled or disputed contract cannot take down the hosting your business depends on.
Who handles disputes?
Payments run through Stripe and Stripe's dispute process applies. Open a support ticket and we will help you work through it.
